My goal is to understand
the link between stress
and metabolism.

Does sugar intake shape how our body responds to stress? Why do traumatic experiences increase the risk for obesity and type 2 diabetes?

Award-winning initiative: NODES

I am an open science enthusiast and, together with colleagues at the University of Konstanz and the Amsterdam UMC, I initiated the Task Force Neuroendocrinology Open Data Exchange Standard (NODES). We aim at developing a community-driven standard data structure for psychoneuroendocrinology to facilitate data sharing and reuse. NODES received a YERUN Open Science Award and a a SIPS Commendation Award.
